About Us

B2C is a social enterprise of  The WERX Foundation Inc

The WERX Foundation is a  registered not for profit organisation that has Deductible Gift Recipient registration with the Australian Taxation Office (ABN: 51299267395  ) allowing any financial donations over $2 to the organisation to be tax deductible.

B2C Community IT is a ‘social enterprise’ committed to providing business and the community with IT waste management solutions. All funds raised through the project are utilised towards furthering the project’s major goals; reducing the amount of  IT waste entering landfill, assisting local and overseas communities in need, and providing training in a “live work” environment .

One of B2C ‘s major roles is to provide training  and support to people who have a disability as a result of injury, or those who are disadvantaged in the labour  market. We do this through a range of training and work experience programs in conjunction with government departments, insurance companies, rehabilitation providers and community agencies

The B2C project provides both environmental and social benefits to individuals and communities in a number of ways:
 Social benefits:
 Refurbished Pc"s
  • Refurbished computers are supplied to local and overseas communities in need through sponsorships. Our “Sponsor a computer” program enables us to provide computers to support requests from our own local communities and overseas communities. As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher we are also able to offer Microsoft software on these machines.
  • Through our B2C Op shop we offer low cost computers with Microsoft Windows XP operating systems to low income earners

Training

  •  One of B2C ‘s major roles is to provide training and support to people who have a disability as a result of injury or those who are disadvantaged in the labour market. We do this through a range of training and work experience programs in conjunction with government departments, insurance companies, rehabilitation providers and community agencies.

Environment benefits:

We provide individuals and business whether they are donating waste/redundant equipment, their labour or money with an environmental outcome by

  • reducing the  amount of IT waste entering landfill in Australia
  • educating the wider community on the environmental benefits of recycling IT equipment
