We accept all forms of IT equipment and IT peripherals regardless of age, specification or working condition and  work to prevent these items from entering landfill.   We re-use as much of the materials donated as possible, integrating PC components into refurbished computers. Any donated equipment that cannot be re-used is dismantled into its constituent parts and sent for processing by one of our responsible waste partners.
We are open for drop offs - Mon- Thursday 10.00am - 4.00pm

B2C Collection Service-
Prices for pickups are quoted separately; email or phone. however; please note a minimum charge of $100 applies to all pick ups. Tax Invoices will be issued if required

Recycyling
In 2009 we recycled MORE THAN 35,000Kg of materials with our recycle partners along with over 1000 dead monitors.( see our recycle stats for a detailed breakdown)

The Process

When donated products arrive at the B2C warehouse, all items are assessed and tested for their ability to be re-used or refurbished for use within the community.

Products that contain hazardous materials or are damaged beyond repair are tagged for recycling.   They are then stripped down to individual components and forwarded to responsible waste management partners for environmentally appropriate disposal.

As recyclers — one of B2C ‘s major roles in the community is to provide education and support to businesses and individuals in ‘environmentally sustainable resource management’.  We do this through a range of training projects (see our training for more details).

Certificate of Disposal for Recycling

B2C provides an Environmental Care Partner  Certificate, to organisations for donated PC equipment.
It certifies that B2C :
  • has taken ownership of the equipment for the purpose of providing community resources and supporting environmental sustainability;
  • all information contained within the machine has been permanently destroyed prior to any reuse, refurbishment or recycling;
  • all refurbished machines are distributed to local, national or international communities in need;
  • component disposal will be undertaken using approved recycling processes;
  • hazardous waste materials will not be shipped overseas for disposal.
